Taste of Research Summer Program 2013

Congratulations to Mitchell Grierson for winning one of five best poster awards at Taste of Research Summer Program 2013 for category Resources and Infrastructure of the Future. Mitchell (3rd from the right) received $700 in cash prize presented by Prof. Graham Davies, the Dean of Faculty of Engineering. Mitchell’s research focused on the development of novel adsorbent for enhanced removal of Natural Organic Matter, under supervision of Dr May Lim and Dr Sanly Liu.
Dr Lim and Dr Liu are both working on developing technologies and strategies to ensure high drinking water quality in collaboration with DCM Process Control and SA Water/AWQC. Two other TOR students are involved in other aspects of the project such as: S:CAN spectrometry probe for (insitu) monitoring of organic pollutant in drinking water and the development of novel antibacterial coating for prevention of biofilm formation.
