PARTCAT Current Research Projects
Nanomaterials are materials whose constituent units have at least one dimension between one and 100 billionths of a metre, that is 1000 to 100,000 times thinner than human hair. Nanomaterials are changing the world, and have been used in many applications, including self-cleaning surfaces, certain coatings, sensors, barcodes, etc.
Materials at the nanoscale display unique physical properties compared to their bulk counterpart, making them scientifically very interesting and their careful manipulation could lead to many functionalities.
At PARTCAT, our research in nanomaterials synthesis, functionalisation and application is applied to the three key areas: energy, environmental and health. Our current projects are listed under Energy Projects, Environmental Projects and Health Care Projects.
